Legendary ghazal and playback singer Pankaj Udhas passed away at the age of 72 on Monday, February 26, 2024, after battling a prolonged illness. The news was confirmed by his family.

Udhas' daughter, Nayaab, shared a statement on Instagram announcing her father's passing. "With profound grief, we inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on February 26, 2024, due to a prolonged illness," she wrote.
