The video, shared on X, offers a glimpse into the remarkable features of the ambitious Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, which aims to revolutionize travel in the country. Covering a distance of 508 km at a maximum speed of 320 km per hour, the bullet train is poised to reduce travel time between the two major cities to just 2 hours. With 24 river bridges and 28 steel bridges in construction, the project stands as a testament to world-class engineering prowess.

Minister Vaishnaw, in his post, hailed the project as a "marvel of world-class engineering," emphasizing the government's commitment to transforming dreams into reality. He teased, "Stay tuned for Bullet train in Modi 3.0!"

Since its inception in November 2021, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor has been progressing steadily. Last year, the Railway Minister announced that the first stretch of the bullet train, spanning 50 km between Bilimora and Surat in Gujarat, is slated for completion by August 2026.

The operational phase of the bullet train promises to be groundbreaking, with plans to run 35 trains initially, operating approximately 70 trips per day. The long-term vision extends to operating 105 trains by 2050, catering to an estimated 1.6 crore passengers annually.

The project, estimated to cost ₹1.08 lakh crore, demonstrates a collaborative effort, with the Centre committing ₹10,000 crores and Gujarat and Maharashtra pledging ₹5,000 crores each. The remainder of the funding will be secured through a loan from Japan, boasting a minimal 0.1 percent interest rate.

Reactions to the video have been overwhelmingly positive, with one user expressing eagerness, stating, "We are eagerly waiting for this, sir," while another eagerly anticipates witnessing the transformative journey unfold.

As India gears up for the advent of this revolutionary mode of transportation, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train stands as a beacon of progress, symbolizing the nation's stride towards a brighter, more connected future.
